A round-up of JetSmarter’s membership plans

Often hailed as the ‘Uber for private jets’, JetSmarter has emerged to be one of the largest disruptors in the private aviation industry during the last few years. The one-of-its-kind venture has brought about quite a revolution by offering 4,000 miles of free travel to all its customers. We bring you a round-up of JetSmarter’s offerings, as well as the company’s membership plans. Take a look:

JetSmarter services

Charter Broking, Shared Charter, Shared Shuttles and Jet Deals are the four services offered to the customers by the budding private aviation player – JetSmarter. Charter Broking service enables you to book an entire aircraft to yourselves. On the other hand, Shared Shuttles is a better option for you if you are on a budget, and still want to enjoy the luxury of a private jet, since the service enables you to share empty-leg flights with other passengers.

Another unique service offered by JetSmarter is Shared Charter service, which allows you to book an entire aircraft for yourselves and sell the spare seats. This service is great for those people who are unsure about the exact number of people going to travel with you.

Another JetSmarter service, Jet Deals allows you to access last-minute flights at considerably low prices.

JetSmarter membership plans

JetSmarter’s Standard membership plan costs about $15,000 for the first year, and $13,000 second year onwards. Standard membership plan offers you unlimited flights on last-minute empty leg jets and shorter shuttles. The membership also comes with three tokens, which can be used while booking flights on the JetSmarter mobile app.

If shelling out 15 grand is a big deal for you, JetSmarter has got you covered! The private aviation company also offers a cheaper alternative with its Founder’s membership, which costs just $5,000 for a year. However, it comes with only one token which could be used to book charters as well as empty leg flights.

Cancellation charges

Both guests and JetSmarter members are subjected to cancellation fees, even if the latter hasn’t paid for reserving a seat and have used their token instead. If you cancel more than 7 days prior to your day of travel, the cancellation fee you have to pay is $250. The charge spikes up to $1,000 if you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled flight. If you cancel with less than 24 hours to go, you have to pay the full price of a seat.

Is it necessary to take a JetSmarter membership?

Although it is not necessary to have a JetSmarter membership in order to avail the awesome set of services JetSmarter offers, a membership would surely save some money that you might otherwise be spending on your air tickets.

Let’s take an example. While the American Airlines was offering a first-class flight for $10,794between White Plains New York and London Luton at 9.00am on 24 February 2017, a seat on a Gulfstream GIV SP at the same time was priced at $5,990 for a “guest” JetSmarter user. Meanwhile, a JetSmarter member got the same seat for just $3,430!

Why JetSmarter?

JetSmarter is ideal for people who frequently go on vacation to distant lands, as well as for people who travel regularly to the same destinations owing to their business or work-related commitments.
