He worked hard, never gave up, and always tried to learn new things. Tejas will tell us about his journey, his love for technology, and how he and his brother started their business, MD Infotech. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this.
1) Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Hi guys, this is Tejas Maheta from Rajkot, Gujarat, India. My professional journey started with a job as a sales representative and then sales manager in a perfume company. During this period, I also continued my studies, managing to complete two years of college. My career took a significant turn when I was introduced to the world of blogging by my younger brother, Nitin Maheta. Today, I’m a full-time blogger and co-founder of a digital marketing agency, MD Infotech.

2) How and Why did you start your blogging journey?

My blogging journey started in 2012, initially as a casual hobby. My brother Nitin had a blog, makingdifferent.com, and I jumped in to contribute. Over time, I discovered blogging wasn’t just fun but could also be profitable, thanks to avenues like Google AdSense and Affiliate Marketing. What kept me glued to it, however, was the joy of creating valuable content for our readers and their positive feedback.

3) From where did you get the inspiration? Mention the Name of your favorite blogger and blogs?

My brother, Nitin, was my guiding light in the world of blogging. His blog, makingdifferent.com, is a personal favorite, not just because of our shared history, but because it offers a wide range of helpful and engaging content.

4) Tejas, you left your job and started blogging, what was the Reason behind it?

The decision to leave my job and become a full-time blogger in 2017 was all about following my passion. The potential to generate income, coupled with the ability to share valuable content with a broader audience, was too good to resist. Plus, the freedom of being my own boss was a sweet bonus!

5) How do you typically discover or find topics for your blog?

The beauty of blogging is that inspiration is everywhere! Our primary source for new topics comes from our everyday experiences and observations. If we encounter a problem and find a solution, that’s a potential blog post right there. We often ask ourselves, “If this was a challenge for us, might it not be a challenge for others as well?”

We also stay attuned to what’s happening in the tech industry and keep an eye on trending topics. Our goal is always to create relevant and helpful content for our readers, so we pay close attention to their comments and feedback. This often gives us great ideas for new content.

Plus, as we’ve learned more about digital marketing and SEO, we’ve become adept at using keyword research tools. These tools can provide insights into what people are searching for online, which helps us cater our content to meet those needs.

In short, our blog topics come from a mix of personal experiences, industry trends, reader feedback, and careful keyword analysis.

6) How many hours do you dedicate to your blog daily?

On a typical day, I spend about 5 to 6 hours on blogging. This includes researching new topics, writing posts, editing content, and interacting with our readers.

7) Can you Tell the Story Behind your Blog TechieGenie and Your Digital Marketing Agency MD Infotech?

techiegenie.com, my personal blog, sprouted in 2017. It was an outlet for me to share more tech-focused content based on my experiences and learnings. Over time, we noticed the potential of affiliate marketing and decided to create a network of blogs across different niches to leverage this opportunity. As for MD Infotech, Nitin and I launched it in 2022. After years of blogging, we had mastered the ropes of digital marketing and realized we could use our expertise to help other businesses grow online.

8) How do you manage both blogging and digital marketing agency?

That’s a good question! When it comes to juggling between blogging and running MD Infotech, it’s all about organization and prioritization. I divide my day strategically between both ventures, ensuring each gets the attention it deserves.

In the early days, Nitin and I wore many hats, handling everything from content creation to SEO. But as our workload increased, we realized the need to delegate. So, we built a team of dedicated professionals who could handle different aspects of our work.

Today, we have a talented team that assists us in running our blogs and delivering digital marketing services to our clients. This enables us to manage our time better and ensures both our blogging and digital marketing activities receive equal focus.

In the end, it’s a balancing act. Some days demand more attention for MD Infotech, while other days, our blogs take center stage. But the common thread is our passion for digital content and marketing, which keeps us excited and driven every day.

9) Which is your Favorite Quote?

I’ve always held on to the quote, “Never put all your eggs in one basket.” It’s a simple reminder of the importance of diversifying and not relying solely on one source of income.

10) Any advice that you can give to our readers for their success?

Chase what you love doing. It’s easier to push through obstacles when you’re passionate about your work. Also, never stop learning. The world keeps changing, and to stay relevant, you need to adapt and grow with it.
