In the world of video gamers there aren’t many games that can generate hype like the GTA series. Even Grand Theft Auto V celebrating 6 years of its inception makes news. With GTA VI in the pipeline and everyone glued to the news about any update, let us touch on what we know.
There isn’t much concrete information on the workings of Grand Theft Auto VI. But with the launch of Rockstar’s new PC launcher, the release date could get boosted. The good folks at Rockstar, as usual, aren’t saying a word. Even so, there have been leaks before, and there will be leaks again. We don’t know for sure when it will be released, but it’s safe to say GTA 6 will be exclusive to next generation consoles. Microsoft’s Xbox Scarlett, and Sony’s Playstation5.
Leaks about GTA 5 have been on sites like Reddit, and Gamesradar, and many of them turned out to be true while others didn’t. Here’s what the new, and exciting GTA 6 may have in store. First, there is big talk of the name to be Grand Theft Auto 6 “Project Americas”. Heavily influenced by the hit Netflix series “Narcos”, the game takes on a 70s, 80s vibe. You play as future drug lord Ricardo, and run the streets of Vice City with locations supposedly taking place in Rio de Janeiro.
Along with missions to Liberty City if all this is true GTA 6 is going to have a map like we’ve never seen before. That’s not all, it’s also said this Grand Theft Auto will be far more realistic, and challenging than before in that you will no longer be allowed to carry your arsenal of weapons in your pocket. Instead, you will need to put them in the trunk of your car. Even the weather will be more lifelike.
On the hardware front, Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive are confident that next-gen hardware will make for a popular switch. What does this mean for GTA VI gamers? It is a good news for them to be featured on the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett. But there are evidences which point out to Rockstar Games not launching GTA 6 on PS4 and Xbox One.
In the end, you’ll find plenty of predictions online, but like I stated before nothing is official, and everything is all speculation until Rockstar decides to release it. The only guarantee is that Rockstar will make a new GTA, it will be awesome, and will be played on next generation consoles.
